Mehsana, Gujarat cold storage facility
Facility 01 / 01

Mehsana, Gujarat

One facility, three chambers, 8,400 pallet positions on a movable rack high-density storage system. The Mehsana site holds a single precision frozen setpoint of -18 degrees C, sits 500 metres behind the McCain Foods plant on the Ahmedabad to Palanpur Highway (SH-41), and is built around frozen potato products and premium dairy product brands.

One room, sized for one job.

Mehsana is the whole network. We commissioned the room in 2026 at Survey No. 117 and 120, Behind McCain Plant, Ambaliyasan, Mehsana on the Ahmedabad to Palanpur Highway. The build is three independent chambers of 2,800 pallet positions each, 8,400 in total, with one precision frozen setpoint of -18 degrees C across every chamber. The site is engineered for India's prime agro-processing and dairy corridor. McCain Foods is 500 metres directly behind the plot. HyFun Foods sits about 5 km away. SH-41 puts both Ahmedabad and Palanpur inside a clean transit window.

The build choice is the movable rack high-density storage system. A static rack envelope of the same volume would carry fewer pallet positions and lose aisle access on every rotation. The movable rack gives 100 percent pallet selectivity, which keeps FEFO pulls quick across all three chambers. An integrated conveyor system carries pallets from the ambient staging area into the sub-zero chambers, which cuts cold-air loss and pulls human handling out of the inbound flow. The staging area itself is one of the largest indoor staging footprints in the Gujarat belt, sized so inbound loads can be sorted, scanned, and prepared under temperature-controlled conditions without bottlenecking the dock.

Outside, the reefer yard stages up to 50 trucks at a time, with active charging points on the bays so trailers can hold gen-set off and stay sealed. Outbound flows go through 7 dock doors that face the highway-side of the plot, which keeps the apron clean and the compressor load steady when reefer trailers stack at peak hours. The operations floor runs on the Logistix WMS with real-time item-level tracking, batch and FEFO controls baked in. Industrial solar generation offsets the refrigeration grid load. Rainwater harvesting handles site water reuse. The team works toward Net Zero Carbon as a default, not a slogan.
