How we run storage.
Most of our customers run frozen SKUs with mixed velocity. A frozen potato processor keeps fast-mover french fries on aisle-front, slow-mover hash browns at the back, and a small allocation of co-pack inventory in a chamber of its own. Colden was built for that reality. The Mehsana site is three independent chambers, all on one setpoint, all on movable rack, all served by the same integrated conveyor system from staging. We size the chamber to the customer, not the other way around. The Logistix WMS handles FEFO and batch control at the pallet level, with the same dashboards on our screens and yours. Tenant-style billing keeps it honest. You pay for the pallets you hold and the moves you authorise, with rate cards published quarterly and no hidden minimums.

We run three chambers at one setpoint. The movable rack system gives us 8,400 pallet positions on the same envelope a static drive-in rack would have given us roughly half of, with 100 percent pallet selectivity preserved across every chamber. Ops walks the floor every shift, ice formation is logged at 15-minute intervals, and FEFO pulls are governed by the Logistix WMS at the pallet level.

Conveyor-integrated staging
Integrated conveyor system from one of the largest indoor staging areas in the Gujarat belt directly into each sub-zero chamber.
Most cold rooms lose temperature on the dock during inbound. We do not. The Mehsana site runs an integrated conveyor system that carries pallets from the ambient staging area straight into the chamber that will hold them. The staging area itself is one of the largest indoor footprints in the Gujarat belt, sized so inbound loads can be sorted, barcode-scanned, and prepared under temperature-controlled conditions without bottlenecking the dock.

Reefer yard with active charging
50+ truck reefer yard with active charging points so trailers stay sealed with the gen-set off.
Yards kill reefers. A trailer idling on a hot Gujarat afternoon burns fuel and emits CO2 for hours before it ever rolls. Our 50+ reefer yard has active charging points on the bays, so the trailer pulls in, plugs in, and stays sealed at temperature without the engine running. The yard is sized for the seasonal surges that the frozen potato and dairy harvest cycles push at the facility.

Logistix WMS
Real-time item-level traceability with FEFO and batch control across all three chambers.
The whole operation runs on the Logistix WMS. Inbound, putaway, FEFO and batch control, picking, cycle counts, and outbound all in one stack, with the same dashboards on our screens and yours. Customers see inventory, BOL, and POD data through the customer portal. The WMS is the source of truth, not a clipboard at the rack.

Segregated hold positions
Chamber-level and cage-level isolation for FSSAI hold, recall, and customer-flagged product.
Recalls happen. Holds happen. The three-chamber design gives us chamber-level isolation when a customer needs a full brand or batch separated from the rest of the inventory. For smaller holds we run cage positions inside the affected chamber, with separate WMS status codes and a documented chain of custody for every move in and out.
